Cargo Ship crashes into Bosphorus’s iconic mansion in Turkey
A cargo ship crashed into an historic waterfront mansion on the Bosphorus today, after its steering equipment got locked and the traffic in both directions in the strain has been suspended, reported Duvar news site. The cost guard pulled back the 225 meter long Ship named “Vitaspirit” from the crash site.
No casualties has been reported, but the accident scared the people spending their Saturday afternoon at the two fish restaurants next to the waterfront mansion.

The Hekimbasi Salih Efendi Mansion, a red iconic building in Kanlıca on the shore of Bosphorus, was built in the eighteenth century, for the family of Salih Efendi, who was the first medical school graduate of the Ottoman Empire. The mansion today is used for reception and concerts and has hosted many television series and films.
